Tri Northumberland events planned for
2013

Tri Northumberland have planned a range of events in
Northumberland for 2013. Swim sessions are also planned
over the summer at QE2 Country Park. Tri Northumberland are also
looking for Marshalls to volunteer at all events with the benefit
of a Volunteer Pack and access to reduced cost/free places in Tri
Northumberland events (limited availability). For more information

Cramlington School secures funding for new 3300k 3G pitch
Grassroots sport in Northumberland has been
given a boost after a local school received a grant of £184,584
from the Football Foundation.
The £296,788 project includes a combined
investment of £98,704 by Cramlington Learning Village and BVAL
together with a £5000 contribution from the junior football clubs
in the town. Support was also received from Cramlington Town
Council and County Councillors Tom Brechany and Barrie
Crowther.
The funding will allow the school to refurbish
an existing sand-based surface into a new 3G artificial grass
football pitch for use by students and the wider community.
