Ability to Play
Since 2005 Blyth Valley Arts and Leisure has
successfully delivered a disability leisure inclusion project,
Ability To Play in South East Northumberland. The project offers a
range of play and sport activities both during term time and school
holidays for children aged between 5 – 17yrs.
The project provides activities on evenings and weekends.
Coaches delivering the sessions are experienced in working with
disabled children and will tailor sessions to the needs of the
child. Children requiring additional care needs such as toileting
and tube feeding will need to supply this support themselves.
Parents and siblings are welcome to join in activities to make the
child feel more comfortable.
