After the completion of level 10, there is the opportunity to join Blyth Lifequard and Swimming Club based at Blyth Sports Centre for further progression. 

Other swimming courses are available at other times and also during the school holidays.

Our 'Learn to Swim' weeks in the school holidays are extremely popular as well as snorkelling sessions for more confident young swimmers.

For competent swimmers aged 16+ the centres occasionally run Royal Lifesaving Society 'National Pool Lifeguard' courses. Successful completion of this course will give you the opportunity to apply for lifeguard jobs which occasionally come up at Concordia Leisure Centre or Blyth Sports centre.
